Rabbit meat has been popular for centuries with an estimated production in 2014 of 200 million tonnes. It is mainly used in stews and is a high source of protein. Rabbit meat is almost cholesterol free and therefore more friendly for heart patients. The meat has many health benefits does not have a strong flavour but can carry flavour well. One of the popular recipes is Cacciatore containing rabbit amongst other meats. Its a simple dish with a chilli punch served on a bed of hot spaghetti or rice. My favourite is a curry. Its hot tasty and once you’ve tried it once, it will become your go to recipe.

Tip:
Never consume just this meat as a diet . Due to being a lean meat, it does lack some nutrients that humans need.
