Tuna is one of the most popular fishes on the planet. The world wide availability whether fresh or tinned has made it accessible. The number of recipes using this particular seafood as the base is ever increasing. The classics are still popular. The fish is canned for storage in Oil, Brine or Spring Water.  Also, always make sure that the fish you eat is line and pole caught and NOT trawled. Trawling damages the oceans and captures large numbers of other sea creatures that are killed unnecessarily.
