Lamb, hogget, and mutton are the meat of domestic sheep at different ages.
A sheep in its first year is called a lamb, and its meat is also called lamb. The meat of a juvenile sheep older than one year is hogget; outside the USA this is also a term for the living animal. The meat of an adult sheep is mutton, a term only used for the meat, not the living animals. It is a very popular meat to have a special occasions and Sunday family lunches in the  western world. It is a very versatile protein that can handle a lot of spice and yet tender enough to melt in the mouth. We have recipes ranging from Greece, Indian, Britain, BBQ, Roast, Pan Fried, Casserole, Kebabs all from a single meat.

Note:
Slow cooked lamb is one of the most succulent meats available. Also a roast with potatoes, green beans, Yorkshire puddings, peas and thick gravy = good times.
