Using a microwave nowadays is a common thing. Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic radiation used to cook ingredients quicker in a confined space. Hence they can be used to melt butter to defrosting bread up to cooking/reheating a meal.

You may be surprised which recipes you can actually cook in a microwave. Would you believe Butternut Squash Risotto, Rice Pudding and Sweet Jacket Potatoes. Furthermore when you are in a rush, a Microwave is a useful tool just like a processor, kettle and mixer. Also use a special tray to cook bacon making it both quicker and healthier than normal frying. (The tray catches the bacon fat). Also, whilst a good cooking method, nothing beats the oven, hob and bbq.
Tip:
Always check that the food being microwaved in piping hot on the inside.
