Defrost Frozen Meat Quickly and Safely
This is very very simple and so obvious, you will wonder why you haven’t done it before – I know I did.
The best way to wake up your meat is with a cold water bath.
All you need to do is seal the meat in a zip lock (must be totally sealed) bag and submerge it in a bowl of cold water.
To prevent the water from chilling too much, you should change the water often or just keep a tap of water dripping into the bowl.
Using this method, you can defrost meat in around an hour instead of hours (depends on the size of the cut of meat).
This process doesn’t encourage the growth of bacteria nor alter the texture/taste of the meat.
