  • Heat the bread cubes in a warm oven until dried, about 10 minutes.
    8 cups white bread
  • Meanwhile, brown the sausage in a skillet over moderate heat.
    1 lb pork sausage
  • Add the onion and bell pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
    1 large onion, 1 large green bell pepper
  • Stir in the bread cubes and remaining ingredients until thoroughly combined.
    1/2 cup apple juice, 2 large apples, salt, ground pepper
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated 350F (180C) oven until the top is golden brown, about 30 minutes.
