heavy cream
whipped for frosting

icing sugar
for frosting

peeled and sliced for frosting
Instructions
Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in medium bowl.
2 cup flour,
2 tsp baking powder,
1 tsp baking soda,
1/2 tsp salt
Beat together sugar and shortening in large bowl until well combined. Beat in eggs, mashed banana and vanilla.

2/3 cup shortening,
2 large eggs,
3 large bananas,
1 tsp vanilla extract
Beat in flour mixture. Then beat in buttermilk.
1/3 cup buttermilk
Pour batter into 2 9-inch floured round cake pans, equally.
Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool in pans 10 minutes after removed from oven, then cool completely on wire racks.
Frost one round cake with whipped cream frosting, then layer with sliced bananas.
2 cup heavy cream
Place second cake on top, and frost entire cake.
1 tbsp icing sugar
Garnish top with banana slices.
