Chocolate Chip Cookie

A freshly baked chocolate chip cookie is golden on the outside, soft in the centre, and filled with gooey chocolate chips. A timeless classic that’s perfect for sharing or enjoying with a glass of milk.

Ingredients

225 g unsalted butter softened
150 g light brown sugar
100 g granulated sugar
2 large eggs free range
2 tsp vanilla extract
300 g plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
200 g chocolate chips milk, dark or a mix

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F / Gas Mark 4.
Line two baking trays with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
225 g unsalted butter, 150 g light brown sugar, 100 g granulated sugar
Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir this into the wet mixture until just combined.
300 g plain flour, 1 tsp baking soda, ½ tsp salt
Fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
200 g chocolate chips
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared trays, leaving space between each cookie as they will spread.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centres are still slightly soft.
Allow to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
