1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
salt to taste

Spicy Jalapeño Popcorn Ingredients:

1/2 cup popcorn kernels
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp jalapeño powder or to taste
1/2 tsp paprika
salt to taste

Instructions

Classic Buttered Popcorn Instructions:

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Add a few popcorn kernels to the pot and cover.
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
Once the kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn and cover.
Shake the pot occasionally to ensure even popping.
Once popping slows, remove from heat.
Drizzle with melted butter and salt. Toss to coat evenly.

Cheese Flavoured Popcorn Instructions:

Follow the same popping instructions as the classic buttered popcorn.
2 tbsp vegetable oil, 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
Once popped, transfer to a large bowl.
Sprinkle powdered cheese and salt over the popcorn.

Caramel Popcorn Instructions:

Pop the popcorn using the classic method and set aside in a large bowl.

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Let it boil for 4-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Stir in baking soda, salt and vanilla extract.

Spread the popcorn on a baking sheet and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
