This Tomato Sauce is such a simple recipe that I make batches of it and freeze for another day. Goes so well with homemade meatballs and pasta (recipe also on this site).
Add the onion, mixed herbs and garlic and cook until soft, stirring occasionally.
Add the tomatoes and bring it all to a boil.
Once boiled, turn down to a simmer and allow to bubble gently for a further 15 until the sauce has thickened.
Notes
If you are freezing allow to cool first. Tip: If you put the sauce into zip lock freezer bags and lay them flat, they take up a lot less space in the freezer.
