In a large enough mixing bowl, combine the chilli powder, cumin, barbecue sauce, vinegar, runny honey, oil and ginger garlic paste and mix really well.
Place the meat/poultry into the marinade and using your hands, make sure every part of the meat is covered with the marinade.
Cover with clingfilm and place in the fridge for at least 30 – 60 minutes. I like to leave mine overnight for that full flavour.
When ready to cook, remove the meat/poultry from the marinade and cook accordingly.
Use the remaining marinade to baste the ,eat/poultry during cooking.
