Instructions
Place a frying or griddle pan over a medium high heat.
Turn the oven on to 110C. (to keep the cooked toasts warm until serving.)
In a shallow dish, add the milk, eggs salt and vanilla and whisk together until fully combined.
Add butter to the pan and allow to melt.
While the butter is melting, dunk the thick sliced bread into the egg/milk etc mixture making sure both sides are well coated.
Carefully place in the pan and cook until lightly golden brown. It takes about 4 minutes per side.
When cooked, place on a warmed plate in the oven whilst the others are cooked.
Always serve hot with the topping of your choice.
