oil or butter for greasing the baking dish if needed
Instructions
Preparing the lobster:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F. Pat the lobster tails dry. Use kitchen scissors to cut down the centre of the upper shell, taking care not to cut through the underside.
2 large lobster
Opening the shells:
Gently ease the shell apart and loosen the meat. Lift it slightly through the opening, keeping it attached at the tail end, then rest it on top of the shell.
Making the garlic butter:
Melt the butter gently, then stir in the garlic, parsley and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. If using paprika, mix it in now.
50 g unsalted butter, 2 cloves garlic, 1/5 bunch fresh parsley, 1 tbsp lemon juice, Salt, ½ tsp Paprika, Black pepper
Adding the butter:
Place the lobster tails on a baking tray with the shells underneath. Spoon or brush the garlic butter over the exposed meat, allowing some to run around the edges.
oil
Bake and serve:
Bake for approximately 12–18 minutes, depending on the size of the tails. The meat should be opaque and firm, reaching an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F) at its thickest point. Spoon over any remaining buttery juices and serve immediately in the shells.
Serving:Serve your lobster with roasted baby potatoes, steamed asparagus, green beans or a crisp green salad. Crusty bread is also a lovely choice because it soaks up the garlic butter.Five Ingredient Fridays tip:Keep the preparation simple and let the lobster shine. The combination of butter, garlic, parsley and lemon adds plenty of flavour without needing a long list of ingredients.
