Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy or to your liking.
4 rashers smoked bacon
Place on kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Slice the croissants lengthways and place them cut side up on a baking tray. Warm them in the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly toasted.
2 large all butter croissants
While the croissants are warming, bake or lightly grill the cheese slices until soft and bubbling.
4 slices Cheddar
Remove the croissants from the oven.
Spread a little butter on the inside if you like.
1 knob butter
Lay two slices of cheese inside each croissant, followed by the crispy bacon.
Drizzle generously with chilli sauce before closing the croissant back over the filling.
3 tbsp chilli sauce
Enjoy immediately the Cheesy Bacon Croissant while warm, ideally with a side of fresh salad, crisps, or a hot drink.
