Ingredients

oz
butter
5
large
eggs
free range
1
lb
caster sugar
5
oz
dark chocolate
4
oz
plain flour
2
oz
cocoa powder
Instructions
As with most recipes, you need to get the oven up to temp. Set it at 170C (fan) or Gas Mark 5.
In a large pan, slowly melt the butter and the sugar together.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and add to the pan.
Stir until melted.
Beat in the eggs, then stir in the rest of the ingredients until thoroughly combined.
Use greaseproof paper/ baking paper to line a 8x12in baking tin.
Pour the combined mixture into the baking tin, levelling it out.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30–40 minutes or until the brownie surface is firm to the touch but the soft underneath.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin.
Cut into squares when cool.
