Ingredients

6 slices bread white, wholegrain, or rye
4 slices ham honey-glazed, smoked, or peppered
4 slices cheddar cheese optional
4 slices bacon crispy
2 large lettuce leaves
1 large tomato sliced
4 tbsp mayonnaise
unsalted butter optional

Instructions

Toast the bread slices until golden brown. Optionally, spread a light layer of butter on each slice.

Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toast.
4 tbsp mayonnaise
On the first slice of toast, layer a lettuce leaf, two slices of ham, cheese and two slices of crispy bacon.
4 slices ham, 4 slices cheddar cheese, 2 large lettuce leaves, 4 slices bacon
Place another slice of toast on top and add tomato slices and another lettuce leaf.
1 large tomato
Add the final slice of toast on top and secure with toothpicks before slicing into halves.
Repeat the process to make the second round.
