When the weather is here it would be shame not to barbecue. It would a bigger shame if you don't cook these steaks. Simple to marinade and cook and a total pleasure to eat. Bring on the weather.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
Place the steaks in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag.
4 large beef steak
Pour the marinade over the steaks, making sure they are evenly coated. If using a dish, cover it with plastic wrap. If using a plastic bag, seal it tightly.
Place the marinated steaks in the refrigerator and let them marinate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and penetrate the meat.
When ready to cook, preheat your BBQ grill to high heat.
Remove the steaks from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.
Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve the marinated beef steaks hot off the BBQ, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
