Marjoram

Marjoram (Origanum marjorana) – Also called sweet marjoram, it is usually considered sweeter and milder than its close relative oregano-the two plants are very similar and often confused. Native to the Mediterranean region, marjoram is usually used to flavour meats and stews, and has a particular affinity for lamb and veal. Its flavour dissipates quickly when added to hot foods, so add it at the end of cooking for best results.
