Wash and dry basil. Place basil in a blender or food processor with garlic, olive oil, pine nuts, cheese, and pepper.
3 cups basil,
3 cloves garlic,
1/4 cup olive oil,
3/4 cup pine nuts,
1/4 cup parmesan,
Black pepper
Puree until the sauce reaches the consistency you enjoy.
If serving with pasta, add the pesto and toss thoroughly to serve.
Serve immediately whilst pasta is piping hot.
