Cook the bacon and sausage meat in a large, heavy pot with a cover (Dutch oven) over moderate heat until the bacon is crisp and the meat is browned, about 10 minutes.
Drain off excess fat.
Stir in the rice and add the stock, salt, and pepper.
Bake covered in a preheated 375F (190C) oven for 30 minutes.
Stir in the broccoli and bake covered until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes.
