In a small bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chilli powder (if using), salt and pepper. Add shrimp, toss to coat, and let marinate for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, mash the avocado until smooth. Stir in the chopped chilli, lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until pink and fully cooked. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Place cucumber slices on a serving platter. Top each slice with a spoonful of avocado mixture. Place a shrimp upright on top of each avocado layer. Garnish with extra chilli or herbs if desired.
