Place a large frying pan over a medium heat and add the oil.
1 tbsp olive oil
When hot, add the onions and the ham and fry until the onions become translucent.
3 cup ham, 12 large onion
Then add the garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, ground pepper and the sliced chilli and cook for 3 – 4 minutes.
4 cloves garlic, 1 medium red chilli, ½ tsp dried basil, ½ tsp dried oregano, ¼ tsp ground pepper
Add the broth, milk, flour and stir to thoroughly combine. Add the Penne pasta and turn up the heat until it starts to boil, reduce the heat immediately until it simmers cook for 12 minutes stirring often or until the pasta is cooked.
3 cups chicken broth, 2 cups full fat milk, ¼ cup all purpose flour, 16 oz penne
Sprinkle the grated parmesan and chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately.
