Lavender
Lavender is the leaves of this herb that have a bitter, pine-like flavour and aroma and are best used sparingly in soups and stews. However the flowers have a more subtle, slightly lemony flavour. It is a hardy evergreen perennial that prefers dry alkaline soil and full sun.
