Marjoram is also called sweet marjoram, it is similar to its relative Oregano but slightly sweeter and milder. Native to the Mediterranean region, marjoram is usually used to flavour meats and stews, and particularly with lamb and veal. Its flavour dissipates quickly when added to hot foods, so add it at the end of cooking for best results.
