A Kumquat is a small edible fruit resembling an orange but is much smaller. It is more the size of an olive. There are a number of variants including Hong Kong, Oval, Round, Malayan and Jiangsu. They have a sweet, tart and tangy flavour and unlike most other citrus fruits, kumquat skin can be eaten.
