Smoked salmon and avocado brunch is a simple yet delicious dish, perfect for a light and healthy meal. The combination of fresh ingredients creates a delightful balance of flavours, making it a great choice for a weekend brunch or even a quick lunch.
At the heart of this dish is the smoked salmon, which brings a rich, salty flavour. Smoked salmon is known for its delicate texture and bold taste, making it a favourite in many modern brunch dishes. Paired with sliced avocado, the result is a creamy and smooth contrast to the salmon’s smoky richness. Avocado adds a mild flavour, along with healthy fats, giving the dish a satisfying but light feel.
The base of this meal is toasted wholemeal bread, which adds a nutty crunch that complements the softer textures of the avocado and salmon. Wholemeal bread is a wholesome and nutritious option, adding fibre and a bit of substance to the meal, while its crispy texture adds to the overall experience.
To add even more freshness, baby spinach is included. Spinach brings a bright green colour and a slightly earthy flavour, providing a nutritious boost without overpowering the other ingredients. It also adds a nice layer of crunch and freshness, balancing the richness of the salmon and avocado.
Finally, the pepper mayonnaise ties everything together. This creamy sauce, with a hint of peppery spice, adds a slight kick that enhances the overall flavour of the dish. It’s not too strong but gives just the right amount of seasoning to lift the ingredients and make the meal more exciting.
Smoked salmon and avocado on toast is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a quick, easy, and healthy meal. It’s light yet satisfying, packed with flavour, and made from ingredients that are as nutritious as they are delicious. Whether enjoyed for brunch or lunch, this dish is sure to please.
