Sesame Chicken Wings are three words that are in harmony. The sticky sesame seed coating on delicate moist chicken wings. These can be served as a main dish, side dish and snack. i add paprika and dry mustard as I love the heat but these can be left out if a milder version is required. Everybody loves these especially children and are fast to cook and economical to buy. Best of both worlds.
Sesame chicken wings have become a popular choice for those who enjoy finger food with a unique twist. This dish elevates the humble chicken wing into a more sophisticated snack or appetiser, perfect for parties, gatherings, or even a relaxed night at home. With the combination of crispy coating, nutty sesame seeds, and a hint of spice, these wings bring together a range of flavours and textures that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters.
One of the key aspects that sets sesame chicken wings apart is the use of sesame seeds. They add a delightful crunch and a nutty flavour that pairs wonderfully with the tender chicken meat. As they roast in the oven, the seeds become golden and aromatic, adding both a visual and sensory appeal to the dish. Combined with the warm, slightly spicy notes of paprika and dry mustard, these wings offer a tantalising taste experience.
The choice of ingredients plays a crucial role in the final outcome. Using free-range eggs adds a richness to the mixture, enhancing the batter’s flavour and contributing to the overall texture. Butter, melted and mixed into the coating, helps to create a crispy outer layer while locking in moisture within the meat. Meanwhile, the use of a baking mix, such as Bisquick, simplifies the preparation process while ensuring a consistently light and crispy finish.
When preparing sesame chicken wings, marinating and coating them evenly is essential. This ensures every bite delivers the full flavour and crunch that makes this dish so moreish. While these wings are best served straight out of the oven, they are also versatile enough to enjoy warm or at room temperature, making them a flexible addition to any menu.
Sesame chicken wings can be paired with various dips or sauces, such as a tangy soy-garlic sauce or a spicy chilli dip, to complement the nutty, savoury flavour of the sesame seeds. The wings can serve as a standalone snack or be incorporated into a larger spread, adding a touch of indulgence to any meal.
In essence, sesame chicken wings are a delightful treat that offer a twist on the traditional. Their flavourful coating, combined with the rich taste of sesame, makes them a standout choice for any occasion. Whether served at a casual gathering or a festive celebration, these wings are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

The taste was incredible—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with the sesame seeds giving a delightful texture. Definitely worth the effort
The coating was light yet full of flavour, and they stayed crispy for quite a while after cooking. Highly recommend trying these
These wings were so crispy and flavourful! The combination of paprika and dry mustard gave them just the right kick without being too overpowering. The sesame seeds added a nutty taste that was different from the usual chicken wing recipes I’ve tried.
I love chicken wings, and this recipe took them to another level. The sesame seeds provided a unique twist, making them stand out from the usual buffalo or BBQ wings.
Coating the wings evenly was a bit messy, but once they were in the oven, they came out beautifully golden and crispy.
I was looking for something different for dinner and decided to give these a go. They turned out to be an excellent midweek treat
The wings were deliciously crunchy, and the flavours of the paprika and mustard really came through. My kids loved them, and they paired wonderfully with a sweet chilli dip.
The wings were tasty, but I felt they needed a bit more seasoning. The sesame seeds were a nice touch, but the flavour of the coating could have been stronger for my liking.
I made these sesame chicken wings for a small get-together, and they were gone in minutes
The nutty sesame seeds combined with the spiced coating made for an amazing bite. They were a breeze to prepare and looked so appetising on the serving platter.
