Roquefort is a very popular French cheese around the world. According to historians, it was a favourite of Emperor Charlemagne. Hence it is known as  ‘cheese of kings and popes’ throughout France. Roquefort cheese has a rich moistness and crumbles up quite easily. Roquefort flavour is amazing being  rich, creamy and sharp, tangy, salty in flavour at the same time. It is also mostly used in salads and dressings.
