Crispy Chicken Bake

I discovered this recipe years ago and forgot all about it until my grandchildren came to visit. They were not adventurous in the food line so I thought I would surprise them. I added the puffed rice cereal (puffed wheat/sugar puffs/Rice Crispies) ingredients and it was an instant hit. They are now in their 20’s and still love my Crispy Chicken Bake. Serve as a main dish or in a sandwich.

The puffed rice cereal was a clever twist, and it gave a nice crunch without being too heavy.

I’ll definitely be making this again. It’s a nice alternative to fried chicken, but just as satisfying.

This dish was delicious! I loved how the cereal coating stayed crispy even after baking, and the butter drizzle added richness without making it greasy.

I think next time I might add a bit of seasoning to the flour mixture, just to give the chicken itself a little more flavour.

The combination of Parmesan and onion soup mix is genius — it made the chicken so flavourful! I served it with a simple salad on the side, and it was a perfect meal.

I enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Bake, but I found the onion soup mix a bit overpowering for my taste. Next time, I might use half the sachet or try a different seasoning mix. That said, the texture was excellent — super crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
