Ingredients
- 3 knob unsalted butter
- 1 large onions diced
- 3 tbsp flour
- 500 ml beef stock
- 200 ml double cream
- 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp redcurrant jelly
- salt to taste
- ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place deep sided frying pan over a medium high heat. Add oil.
- Add the diced onion to the pan and fry until soft.
- Add the butter and the flour and stir thoroughly creating a roux.
- Add the double cream, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard and redcurrant jelly and continue to simmer for a further 10 minutes.
- Add the precooked meatballs to the gravy and simmer until lovely and warmed.
- Served with mashed potato for a delicious dish licking meal.
