Simple BBQ Marinade

Simple BBQ Marinade is a a perfect accompaniment for most BBQ meals. Making this marinade and covering the meat/poultry in advance and leaving the proteins to absorb the flavours takes a piece of meat to a new level. I like to leave mine in the fridge overnight for the best effect. Simple, Quick and Tasty.

Instructions

  • In a large enough mixing bowl, combine the chilli powder, cumin, barbecue sauce, vinegar, runny honey, oil and ginger garlic paste and mix really well.
  • Place the meat/poultry into the marinade and using your hands, make sure every part of the meat is covered with the marinade.
  • Cover with clingfilm and place in the fridge for at least 30 – 60 minutes. I like to leave mine overnight for that full flavour.
  • When ready to cook, remove the meat/poultry from the marinade and cook accordingly.
  • Use the remaining marinade to baste the ,eat/poultry during cooking.
