Ingredients
- 6 large chicken breast halves skinless
- 2 large onions finely chopped
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- 2 cups chicken stock 500 ml
- 15 oz chickpeas 425 g) , drained
- 1/2 cup blanched almonds 60 ml
- 1/2 tsp saffron threads 2 ml
- Salt to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
- ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the parsley in a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce the heat and simmer covered until the chicken is cooked through, about 30 minutes.
- Serve garnished with chopped parsley.
