Full Breakfast in One Pan

Mornings can be a whirlwind, and while a hearty breakfast is the ideal way to start the day, the idea of juggling multiple pans can feel daunting. Enter the magic of the one pan breakfast/brunch — a time-saving and efficient way to prepare a morning feast without leaving a mountain of dishes behind.

The beauty of the one-pan approach lies in its simplicity. By using a large, high-quality skillet or frying pan, you can layer and sequence your cooking so that every component of your breakfast is ready at the same time. This technique not only saves you effort but also ensures that the flavours from each ingredient mingle harmoniously, creating a more cohesive dish.

Timing is everything when cooking a full breakfast in one pan. Start with ingredients that take the longest to cook. For instance, if your breakfast includes bacon or sausages, these should go in first, allowing them to render their fat and develop a golden crust. As they cook, the fat doubles as a flavourful base for the rest of the meal.

Once the meat is nearly done, push it to the side of the pan to make room for vegetables. Sliced mushrooms, halved cherry tomatoes, or diced bell peppers work wonderfully and soak up the rich flavours left behind. To speed up the process, you can cover the pan briefly to trap steam and soften the vegetables.

Finally, it’s time for the eggs. Whether you prefer them fried, scrambled, or sunny-side up, a bit of strategic placement ensures they cook perfectly without crowding the other ingredients. For those who enjoy toast with their breakfast, consider placing slices of bread at the edge of the pan to toast lightly — another ingenious way to keep everything in one place.

Plus, with just one breakfast pan to clean, you can linger over your coffee that little bit longer. For busy mornings or lazy weekends, full breakfast in one pan transforms breakfast into a delightful and stress-free experience.

I tend to use Cumberland Sausages for the extra flavour but choose the ones you love.

If you’re in the mood for comfort food, this hits the spot. However, I probably won’t make it a regular breakfast choice due to its heaviness.

It’s packed with all the essentials—bacon, eggs, sausages, and a bit of everything else. The best part is it all comes together in one pan, so you’re left with minimal washing up.

Went from 3 pans down to one. In my book that’s a win win solution.

I added a few extras like avocado and baked beans, and it turned out even better. The only downside is that I didn’t get as crispy bacon as I would have liked, but that’s probably because I didn’t use enough heat.

I did find that the eggs didn’t cook quite as quickly as I expected, but I just covered the pan to speed things up. Overall, very tasty.

It’s so easy to adjust based on what you have in the fridge. I swapped the sausages for black pudding, and it worked wonderfully. If you’re looking for a no-mess, flavour-packed breakfast, this is your dish
