Servings: 8 Slices
Calories: 259kcal
Ingredients
- 1 medium pizza base shop or homemade
- 200 g cooked turkey shredded
- ½ cup pizza sauce or tomato passata
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- ½ cup black olives sliced and green olives
- ½ medium red bell pepper thinly sliced
- ½ medium green bell pepper thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced and caramelised
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp chilli flakes optional
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and place a baking sheet or pizza stone inside to heat.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil or butter. Let it melt and coat the pan. Add the sliced onion to the pan and stir to coat in the oil. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt to help draw out moisture.1 medium onion, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 pinch salt
- Reduce the heat to low or medium-low. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning, allowing the onions to soften and release their sugars. Caramelisation takes time so be patient, its worth it.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base. Sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Arrange the shredded turkey, bell peppers, olives and caramelised onions over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining half of the mozzarella and a dash of oregano for flavour. Add the chilli flakes if using.1 tsp dried oregano, 1 tsp chilli flakes
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated baking sheet or stone. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, and slice into 8 pieces. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Topping Variations:
– Cheeses: Swap mozzarella for cheddar, gouda, or crumbled feta for a unique flavour profile.
– Toppings: Add sliced mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, or even a handful of fresh spinach for extra variety.
– Flavour Boosters: Drizzle with pesto, BBQ sauce, or hot honey after baking for an extra punch of flavour.
Tip:
For an ultra-crispy crust, bake the pizza directly on a pizza stone or use a perforated pizza pan.
Add sugar or balsamic vinegar in the last 5 minutes to intensify sweetness and deepen the colour.

What a good idea of using turkey a different way. After a while turkey gets boring but this pizza lifted the repetitiveness superbly.
Delicious, quick, and a brilliant way to use leftovers! I loved how the olives and peppers added brightness to the dish.
The turkey was so tender, and the caramelised onions took it to another level. I added mushrooms and a drizzle of pesto after baking—absolutely perfect.
The combination of turkey, peppers, and caramelised onions was divine, and the crispy crust pulled it all together perfectly. It’s such a creative way to use leftovers—definitely making this every holiday season.
I wasn’t sure about turkey on pizza, but this recipe changed my mind. The combination of sweet onions, savoury turkey, and the slight heat from the chilli flakes was amazing.
Wow, what a delicious way to avoid food waste.
It’s so good, I might roast turkey just for this pizza.
I made this Turkey Pizza with leftovers from Christmas dinner, and it was an absolute hit with my family
I tried it with sun-dried tomatoes and feta instead of olives and mozzarella—it was incredible. Perfect for a cosy, post-Christmas dinner.
I swapped mozzarella for gouda, and it worked beautifully. Highly recommend to everyone.
We added a handful of fresh spinach, and it was a great addition.
Such an easy and satisfying recipe! It felt like a whole new dish rather than just leftovers.
he colours of the bell peppers added a festive touch, and the flavour was spot on and the kids loved it.
I followed the recipe exactly, and the results were perfect. My friends were most impressed.
We tried it with cheddar and BBQ sauce for a smoky flavour, and it was a winner. Even better than regular pizza, in my opinion.
This Turkey Pizza has become a new post-Christmas tradition in our house. It’s so versatile and easy to customise.
My kids devoured it without arguing over toppings!!!! A first.
This was such a fun and tasty way to repurpose our Christmas turkey.
I used a sourdough base for extra flavour, and the turkey paired so well with the caramelised onions. Adding a bit of truffle oil at the end gave it a gourmet touch.
