What would Christmas and Thanksgiving be without a Turkey? It has to be the most popular poultry used during the holiday season. Often served with roast potatoes, cranberry sauce, lots of side dishes and sauces. Also never forget the best gravy on the planet.
Furthermore they are among the largest birds in their ranges.

History:
The poultry is a large bird in the genus Meleagris, which is native to the Americas. One species, Meleagris gallopavo (commonly known as the domestic turkey or wild), is native to the forests of North America, from Mexico, throughout the midwest and eastern United States, and into southeastern Canada.
