Whilst this recipe states to chop the tomatoes, you can put all of the ingredients into a blender for a smoother texture. However, when serving as a side dish with Apricot Baked Ham for example, the chunkier version has a bigger impact. When seving in a sandwich, smoother is better. You can adjust the taste to suit you.
