Berry Berry Streusel Bars are a simple American recipe that is full of flavour. Serve as a snack or treat in a lunchboxes, for a lovely finale to a meal. Or simply as a biscuit with a mug of tea. The bars are full of oats and fruit that are both healthy and delicious. I make these in advance for when my grandchildren visit.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Oats uncooked
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 3/4 cup butter melted
- 1 cup blueberries fresh or frozen
- 1/3 cup raspberry preserves strawberry jam
- 1 tsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp lemon peel grated
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 F.
- Combine oats, flour, brown sugar and margarine; mix until crumbly.
- Reserve 1 cup for topping; set aside.
- Press oat mixture onto bottom of ungreased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan.
- Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool slightly.
- In medium bowl, combine blueberries, Raspberry Preserves, flour, and lemon peel; mix gently. Spread over crust. Sprinkle with the reserved cup of oat mixture, patting gently.
- Bake 20 to 22 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool completely; cut into bars.
- Store tightly covered.
