Old Fashioned Baked Beans
Old Fashioned baked Beans means you will never buy a tin of Heinz baked beans again. The molases, vinegar and bacon make this a memorable side dish.

Ingredients
- 28 oz beans (15 g - 420g each) ,
- 3/4 cup cooked ham 180 ml
- 1/4 cup molasses 60 ml
- 1 cup tomato sauce 250 ml
- 2 tbsp vinegar 30 ml
- 2 tsp dry mustard 10 ml
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger 2 ml
- salt to taste
- ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook covered on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or on high heat for 2 to 3 hours.

Notes:
- I usually use a mixture of canned kidney, black, cannellini, or other beans. It usually takes 4 cans.
- I often use bacon instead of cooked ham. Just make sure its smoked.
