A Blue Lagoon is a very popular French cocktail containing Blue Curacao. This is mixed with lemonade and vodka and garnished with a slice of lemon or lime. Blue curaçao is a wonderful Caribbean liqueur made with the dried peel of the Laraha citrus fruit and then coloured blue with sweet zesty flavours. The lemonade is purely to make the drink last longer while the vodka does what vodka does.
The cocktail, Blue Lagoon was created in the 1960/70’s in Harry’s New York Bar in Paris. This means the drink was not named after the 1980’s film as some insist. This is a lovely drink full of flavour and an outstanding colour.
