Full House Pizza

There are pizzas, and then there are pizzas that feel like a proper feast. The Full House Pizza sits proudly in that second group. It brings colour, flavour, and comfort to the table in every single slice. Even better, it keeps things simple while still tasting fantastic.

To start with, the topping combination feels both classic and exciting. Juicy mushrooms add a deep, earthy flavour. At the same time, melted mozzarella delivers that soft, stretchy texture everyone loves. Together, they create a rich and satisfying base for the rest of the toppings.

Then, the green bell pepper steps in. It adds a gentle crunch and a fresh, slightly sweet bite. This contrast lifts the whole pizza and stops it from feeling too heavy. In addition, the bright green colour makes each slice look even more inviting.

Next comes the ham. It brings a savoury, slightly salty taste that balances the vegetables perfectly. Each bite feels hearty, yet not overwhelming. Because of this, the pizza works well for both lunch and dinner.

However, the real surprise for many people is the sweetcorn. It might sound unusual at first. Yet, once you try it, you will understand why it belongs here. The kernels add small bursts of sweetness that cut through the richness of the cheese and ham. As a result, every bite feels balanced and full of character.

Another reason this pizza stands out is how easy it is to prepare. You do not need complex steps or fancy techniques. Instead, you can focus on good ingredients and simple assembly. This makes it perfect for busy evenings or relaxed weekends at home.

Moreover, the Full House Pizza suits families very well. Children enjoy the mild flavours and soft textures. Adults, on the other hand, appreciate the mix of savoury and sweet elements. Because of this, it often becomes a shared favourite at the table.

If you plan a casual gathering, this pizza also works brilliantly. You can slice it up and serve it alongside a crisp salad or some light sides. Alternatively, you can enjoy it on its own with a cold drink. Either way, it rarely disappoints.

In addition, the pizza offers flexibility. You can adjust the topping amounts to suit your taste. For example, add more mushrooms for extra depth, or increase the peppers for more crunch. This freedom makes the dish feel personal and fun.

Overall, the Full House Pizza lives up to its name. It brings together a variety of flavours that work in harmony. Each ingredient plays a clear role, and nothing feels out of place. Most importantly, it delivers a delicious and comforting experience with very little effort.

So, if you want a pizza that is simple yet full of flavour, this one deserves a place on your menu. It looks great, tastes amazing, and brings people together. And in the end, that is exactly what good food should do.

Instructions

Prepare the dough:

  • Place the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast into a large bowl. Keep the salt and yeast separate at first. Add the warm water and olive oil, then mix to form a soft dough.
250 g strong white bread flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp dried yeast, 150 ml warm water, 1 tbsp olive oil

Knead the dough:

  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface. Knead it for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let it rise:

  • Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl. Cover it with a clean cloth. Leave it in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat the oven:

  • Heat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan) or gas mark 7. Place a baking tray or pizza stone inside to heat up.

Shape the base:

  • Knock back the dough gently to remove air. Roll it out into a round shape, about 10–12 inches wide.

Add the sauce:

  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base, leaving a small border around the edges.
    4 tbsp pizza sauce

Add the toppings:

  • Sprinkle over the mozzarella cheese. Then add the mushrooms, green bell pepper, ham, and sweetcorn evenly across the pizza.
    150 g mozzarella cheese, 100 g mushrooms, 1 medium green bell pepper, 100 g cooked ham, 75 g sweetcorn

Season lightly:

  • Sprinkle oregano and black pepper over the top if you like. Drizzle a little olive oil for extra flavour.
1 tsp dried oregano, Freshly ground black pepper, 1 drizzle Olive oil

Bake the pizza:

  • Transfer the pizza onto the hot tray or stone. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust turns golden and the cheese bubbles.

Serve and enjoy:

  • Remove the pizza from the oven. Let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Serving Suggestions:
Serve with a crisp green salad or garlic bread. A cold drink pairs perfectly alongside it.
Tips:
Use fresh mozzarella for a softer texture.
Do not overload the toppings, as this can make the base soggy.
A hot oven ensures a crisp base and melted topping.
