A cocktail created by Robert “Rosebud” Butt for a Triple Sec competition in Long Island in 1972. A Long Island iced tea is a type of alcoholic mixed drink also known as a cocktail. It’s typically made with vodka, tequila, light rum, triple sec, gin, and a splash of cola. This mixture gives the drink the same amber hue as iced tea.

Ingredients
- 15 ml light rum ½ fl oz
- 15 ml triple sec ½ fl oz
- 15 ml vodka ½ fl oz
- 15 ml tequila ½ fl oz
- 15 ml gin ½ fl oz
- 15 ml lemon juice ½ fl oz, fresh
- 15 ml orange juice ½ fl oz, fresh
- 15 ml orange liqueur ½ fl oz
- 1 tsp sugar syrup
- 1 fresh lemon wedged
- cola top up
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice and shake hard.
- Strain the cocktail into a highball glass, top up with cola and garnish with a lemon wedge.
