Sausage Breakfast Wrap is not the healthiest option for breakfast/brunch but it is one of the tastiest. Consisting of only four ingredients, sausages, bacon, tortillas and tomatoes make it ideal for a quick meal.
If there’s one dish that perfectly balances hearty flavours with the convenience of a handheld meal, it’s the Sausage Breakfast Wrap. This wrap takes classic breakfast staples—sausages, bacon, and tomatoes—and transforms them into a portable feast. Whether you’re rushing out the door or enjoying a leisurely brunch, this recipe is a sure fire crowd-pleaser.
The secret to its success lies in the careful layering of flavours. Start with juicy sausages—Lincolnshire is a great option for its herby notes—grilled to perfection for a slightly charred finish. Once cooled, slice them into bite-sized pieces, making every bite a meaty delight. Next comes the smoked back bacon, cooked until just crisp, adding a subtle smokiness that ties everything together. The cherry tomatoes, gently cooked in the bacon’s residual fat, bring a pop of freshness and a hint of sweetness. Wrap it all up in a warm, soft flour tortilla, and you have breakfast magic in your hands.
Customising Your Wrap
While the classic combination of sausage, bacon, and tomatoes is undeniably delicious, this wrap is incredibly versatile. If you’re looking to switch things up, here are a few optional extras and alternatives to explore:
- Alternative Proteins: For a lighter option, swap the sausages for chicken sausages or turkey rashers. Vegetarians can use plant-based sausages or marinated tofu strips.
- Add a Kick: A drizzle of hot sauce, sriracha, or a sprinkling of chilli flakes can elevate the flavour for spice lovers.
- Cheesy Goodness: Add a handful of grated cheddar or a slice of melted mozzarella for an indulgent twist.
- Fresh Greens: Toss in some baby spinach, rocket, or avocado slices for added texture and nutrients.
- Saucy Extras: Spread a layer of barbecue sauce, tomato relish, or even a dollop of sour cream inside the wrap for an extra burst of flavour.

When I’ve been drinking thr night before, having two of these for breakfast in a total hangover remedy.
When you have three rugby playing sons, these are amazing to wrap in foil for after training.
I added a fried egg for an even more indulgent wrap and it was delcious. Love thes.
The wraps were soft and warm, making it a joy to bite into. It’s a versatile dish, but I’d love to add some spinach or avocado for a healthy twist next time.

Very lovely but needed a dash of brown sauce or mustard for an extra punch!

The Sausage Breakfast Wrap is a deliciously filling dish that works for breakfast or brunch.
I loved how easy the Sausage Breakfast Wrap was to assemble. The grilling step gave the sausages a nice charred flavour, and the bacon’s smokiness was divine.
The combination of Lincolnshire sausages, smoky bacon, and juicy cherry tomatoes is perfectly balanced. The sausages, once grilled to perfection, provide a savoury base, while the bacon adds a delightful crunch. The warmth of the tortilla wraps makes it easy to eat on the go.
Warming the tortillas was a great touch, but I’d recommend using wholemeal wraps for a bit more texture and fibre.
The smokiness of the back bacon pairs beautifully with the grilled sausages. The cherry tomatoes add a slight sweetness that balances the dish well.
The Sausage Breakfast Wrap is a hearty and flavourful start to the day
This dish brings a lot of bold flavours together in a simple wrap! The Lincolnshire sausages were the star of the show—rich and herby, as expected.
The wraps hold everything together nicely, though I think adding some grated cheese or a dollop of sour cream would elevate the flavour even further.
I found the instructions straightforward and appreciated how quickly everything came together. Folding the wraps into a cone shape made them easy to handle, though I’d suggest adding a drizzle of hot sauce for a spicy kick.
