The vanilla and buttery notes shine through, and the Smarties are a playful touch. I did chill the dough for 30 minutes to reduce spreading, which worked well.

The cookies turned out lovely, although I felt the Smarties could have been distributed more evenly. Next time, I’ll add some into the dough instead of just on top.

I’d suggest slightly reducing the sugar if you’re not keen on overly sweet treats.

The buttery base is rich without being overwhelming, and the Smarties add the perfect pop of sweetness and crunch. I would perhaps add a pinch more salt to balance the sweetness, but otherwise, they’re a winner.

The texture was spot on, with just the right balance of chewiness and crunch. I loved how the Smarties didn’t melt away but held their form.

These are divine but my only issue was they spread a bit more than expected, so spacing them out is crucial.
