This has to be a favourite with us. When you have had the same old takeaway time after time try this recipe. The Apple glazed chicken drumsticks will have your mouth watering and longing for more. The simple marinade of ground ginger, molasses, apple butter and salt and pepper has such a clean flavour. The chicken drumsticks absorb the flavour superbly and coat the skin to become lovely and crispy. I serve these with simple chips and homemade Onion Rings. This is a simple recipe that even my husband can do. Whilst the recipe says use the broiler, they are also superb on the bbq.
Apple Glazed Chicken Drumsticks
- In a medium bowl, stir together apple butter, molasses, ground ginger, salt and pepper.
- Add the drumsticks and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Preheat broiler.
- Line a broiler pan with aluminum foil and then set the drumsticks in it. Broil 13 to 15 minutes, turning the drumsticks occasionally and brushing them with the marinade.
- Serve with apple slices.
