Iran’s culinary culture has interacted with the cuisines of the neighbouring regions, including Turkish cuisine, Greek cuisine, and Russian cuisine. Aspects of Iranian cuisine have been adopted into North Indian and Pakistani cuisines. Meatballs with Saffron Rice and Persian Chicken (Morgh) are popular dishes that are easy to produce and full of flavour. Also my favourite recipe has to be Ash Reshteh (Vegetable and Noodle Soup). This is normally prepared to welcome in the Persian New Year.
Normally Iranian main dishes are combinations of rice with meat, vegetables, and nuts. Herbs are often used with fruits such as plums, pomegranates, quince, prunes, apricots, and raisins. Iranian flavourings such as saffron, dried lime and sources of sour flavouring, cinnamon, turmeric, and parsley are used in various dishes.
