Fettuccine Alfredo is a clean dish that uses the heat of the fettuccine to melted the parmesan into the butter creating a thick cheese sauce. Its so simple using everyday ingredients but so elegant. There are other variations of this main dish. They are Chicken Alfredo and Prawn Alfredo. Don’t forget to add a sprinkle of chopped parsley.

This recipe may only be fettuccine tossed with Parmesan cheese and butter but it tastes so good and is so quick to cook.

Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream 250 ml
- 4 tbsp butter 60 ml
- 1 lb Fettuccine 500 g, cooked
- 3/4 cup Parmesan 180 ml, grated
- 2 grates nutmeg
- ground pepper to taste
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Bring the cream and butter to a boil in a saucepan large enough to hold the cooked fettuccine.
- Reduce the flame to low and add the salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Add the cooked fettuccine and toss in the sauce.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and toss until the fettuccine are well coated and the sauce has thickened.
