Simple Pork Fried Rice is a brilliant dish that’s jammed with flavours and textures. This recipe can use raw pork or leftover cooked pork, you just cook the carrot and spring onion and then add the pork to thoroughly warm through. One essential part for me is the toasted sesame oil. I use it to cook the egg and a light drizzle when warming through as the flavour is immense.
There are lots of version of this dish, chicken, seafood, beef, vegetable and so on. As with so many Chinese dishes, Simple Pork Fried Rice can be the main dish or a side dish.
As with many other rice dishes, you can add what you want to it to make it yours. It be honey for sweetness, soy sauce for bitterness, oyster sauce and the list goes on. However, its nots just sauces and condiments that can be added. Try mange tout, broccoli, carrot, mushrooms and so munch more. I often look in my fridge and include what ever is in there and often use left overs.
Once you discover the ease and amazing flavour of this dish, you must try its close cousins. These include Chicken Fried Rice, Shrimp Fried Rice and Beef Fried Rice.
