This Maple Barbecue Sauce is excellent on beef, pork or poultry. It is quick to prepare and used prior and during the cooking process. The meat must be continually basted but this increases the flavour. There are very few ingredients but each one adds a specific flavour and element to the sauce. The sauce is ideal for flavouring a protein and then being used as a sauce during serving. This is one of those recipes I could easily bottle and give as presents. It is that popular and when barbecuing several different items, the meat with the Maple Barbecue Sauce always goes first.
