Asian-Style Chicken Wings are a simple method to make everybody happy. These moist succulent chicken wings are coated in a sauce that will have you licking your lips for more. They are easy to cook and after marinating, are ready in only 12 minutes. Adding Sesame Seeds gives an additional texture and appeal that takes it to another level.
To me, if there’s one dish that guarantees satisfaction at gatherings or even a quiet night in, it’s Asian Style Chicken Wings. Imagine the irresistible aroma of garlic, the tang of lime, and the subtle sweetness of honey all combining into one glorious mouthful. These wings aren’t just a dish—they’re an experience.
The magic begins with a marinade that transforms simple chicken wings into flavour-packed bites. A blend of soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, and grated ginger forms the backbone of the recipe, with a drizzle of sesame oil adding a nutty depth. The honey offers just the right touch of sweetness, balanced beautifully by a hint of spice from red pepper flakes. It’s the kind of harmony that keeps you coming back for more.
Marinating the wings for several hours (or, if you can wait, overnight) is the key to ensuring every bite is infused with bold, robust flavours. Tossing them occasionally while they soak allows the marinade to coat every crevice, ensuring perfection from the inside out.
Cooking these wings is an equally enjoyable process. Whether you’re grilling over hot coals for that authentic smoky touch or broiling them indoors, the sizzle and aroma as the wings caramelise are unbeatable. The slightly crisped edges give way to tender, juicy meat, a testament to the marinade’s magic.
What makes these wings shine is the finishing touch—sesame seeds sprinkled generously over the warm wings. These tiny golden seeds provide a nutty crunch that complements the bold flavours and gives the dish a delightful texture. They’re not just garnish; they’re the exclamation point on this symphony of taste.
Serve these Asian Style Chicken Wings at your next party, and watch how they steal the spotlight. Their bold flavours and beautiful presentation make them a surefire crowd-pleaser. Pair them with a fresh salad, a side of steamed rice, or simply enjoy them on their own. One thing’s for sure: there won’t be any leftovers!
Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a casual food enthusiast, these wings are a must-try. With their perfect balance of savoury, tangy, and sweet, they offer a taste of Asia right in your kitchen.

These wings coated in sauce and sesame seeds are a dream, so many textures and an amazing flavour.
These Asian Style Chicken Wings were the highlight of our barbecue!
The honey added a slight caramelisation when grilled. These are officially my go-to wings for every match day.
I was skeptical about making wings at home, but these turned out amazing.
These wings were surprisingly easy to make but tasted like something a far better cook than I would make.
I grilled them over charcoal, and the smokiness added a whole new dimension. Highly recommend.
The marinade was spot-on—zesty, sweet, and just the right amount of spicy. The sesame seeds added a great crunch that everyone loved.
I loved how the sweet, savoury and spicy notes balanced perfectly. The wings were juicy, and the sesame oil gave a delightful depth of flavour.
The spice level was perfect—not overpowering but enough to keep it interesting.
These chicken wings were a massive hit during our game night.
The marinade soaked in so well after refrigerating overnight. I used the broiler method, and they came out tender with a slight crisp on the edges.
We paired them with a cold beer, and it was an unbeatable combination. Will make again for sure
Tossing the sesame seeds on at the end was genius. Definitely adding this to my recipe collection.
The soy sauce and sesame oil gave a rich umami flavour, and the hint of honey was just perfect. My family couldn’t believe I didn’t order these from a restaurant.
I grilled these over hot coals, and the caramelisation on the wings was mouthwatering.
Absolutely divine.
I made these for a party, and they were gone in minutes! The sesame seeds added a beautiful touch, and the marinade was so flavourful that some guests asked for the recipe.
I was blown away by how much flavour these wings packed! The lime juice gave them a refreshing tang, and the garlic and ginger worked beautifully together.
They were so good that I had to make a second batch the next day.
Simple, tasty and very very popular.
