Fettuccine with Lemon Sauce is an amazing Italian recipe that has such a clean flavour. The sauce includes beef stock/broth, lemon juice and lime zest, cream and butter. These ingredients creates a sauce I would happily pour into a bowl and eat on it’s own with crusty bread. However, add it to al dente fettuccine and you have a lovely main dish suitable for all occasions.

Fettuccine with Lemon Sauce
A fast tasty and filling recipe for 4 people in only 20 minutes. The sauce is a rich creamy sauce with a hint of lemon but not overpowering.

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest grated
- 1 tsp lime zest grated
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 kg Fettuccine
Instructions
- In a sauce pan or skillet large enough to hold the pasta when it is done, combine the butter, cream, and beef broth or bouillon and simmer over medium heat until reduced by about half.4 tbsp butter, 1 cup heavy cream, 1 cup beef broth
- Add the lemon juice, lemon and lime zest and set aside.2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp lemon zest, 1 tsp lime zest
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions.1 kg Fettuccine
- When cooked and still al dente (firm to the tooth) drain it and add it to the pan containing the sauce.
- Toss over medium heat for 20 to 30 seconds, until most of the sauce is absorbed.
